Mission Statement

The main goal of the BISIS Community is to contribute to the operation of the public and specialized libraries in Serbia, and particularly in Vojvodina, by which the high quality level and the broadest access to the public library services for the citizens should be gained. Mission accomplishment is based on the open cooperation of the relevant institutions and individuals, and application of the knowledge from the various fields where, along with the library science, information and communication technologies play particularly important role.

Vision Statement

BISIS Community will assist its members to achieve internationally recognized standards for the applications of the information and communication technologies in public and specialized libraries. BISIS Community will share its knowledge, experience and best practice related to the applications of information and communication technologies in libraries not only within the BISIS Community, but also with all other interested communities and persons.

The aim of the site is to provide means for the establishment and implementation of this cooperation.
